Amber K's Harmonic Revolution: Unleashing the Power of Authenticity in music.

Amber K ©️ 2023

Today we have Amber here at Goathead:New Discoveries!

GH: Hey Amber K, thank you for being here ! Can you share with us the story of how your music career began? What were some of the early experiences or moments that set you on this path as a singer-songwriter?

Amber K: Thank you for having me! Ever since I was 5, I’ve always dreamed of being like Britney Spears. I watched and studied her concert we had on CD, and I used to mimic her all the time. Haha! I started officially recording and writing my own music at around the age of 14.

GH: Your music resonates deeply with your fans, touching their hearts with your heartfelt lyrics. How do you approach songwriting to create such emotional connections with your audience?

Amber K: You know, it's funny because I know exactly what topics I'd want to sing about, but the beat has to touch my heart to help influence my lyrics. Depending on what I'm writing about, I basically put myself in that time and start writing what I used to think or what I think of it now. "False Dreams," for example, is written about my father. He's never been supportive of me and always wanted me to be someone other than myself.

GH: Your EP "Ananas" received critical acclaim for its unique blend of genres and introspective storytelling. Can you tell us more about the inspiration behind that project and how it impacted your musical journey?

Amber K: Absolutely! "Ananas" was written during a time of healing, and I was on my spiritual journey trying to find myself and my voice. So, my confidence is heard more in this EP. The inspiration was looking at myself in the mirror and deciding what I wanted to show people. I wanted to express my trauma, my reconnection with my soul, and my sexuality and confidence. I know people can relate!

GH: Your musical style is known for its versatility and adaptability. Can you share with us a challenge in your career that pushed you outside your comfort zone and challenged you as an artist? How did it influence your growth and creative approach?

Amber K: Yes, actually something challenging was

knowing the critique from musical people around me who would tell me what I should do or how I should sound. If you listen to songs from a couple of years ago, you can hear the difference in age but also not yet finding MY voice. Artists like Amy Winehouse, Miley Cyrus, and Dua Lipa are people I feel connected with. I love their unique styles, and I wanted to create my own unique signature mark. So, I just kept writing and writing and writing, and I realized I created something by having such different tones and beats but making them match and make sense. I'm actually proud of myself for it. Haha!

GH: We're excited to hear what you have in store for your future works. Can you give us any hints about the direction of your upcoming projects or any surprises we can expect from you in the future?

Amber K: Ohhh yes! I'm very excited to announce it, but I can only say one thing for now. I have a single that will be released soon! It's called 'Little bit of Love - Amber K,' and I wrote this song about spreading more love and kindness, especially with the things going on in the world right now. We all need more kindness. In addition, I have a couple of big surprises, and I'm very excited for everyone to hear and see it! It's gonna be big!
