GH: Hello Elin! How did you get started in the music industry, and what inspired you to become a singer-songwriter?
Elin: Music has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. However, when my father passed away suddenly when I was a teenager, music became an outlet for me to express my emotions and find solace. Despite facing many obstacles and naysayers along the way, I continued to pursue music and honed my skills as a singer-songwriter. Life experiences and personal growth have also inspired me to write music that resonates with others.
GH: Your upcoming single, "Stuck," releases on May 26th. Can you share a bit about the song's creation process and what listeners can expect from it?
Elin: "Stuck" is an emotionally charged pop song that explores the feeling of being trapped in a cycle of negative emotions. The lyrics express the frustration and pain of wanting to break free from the cycle but feeling powerless to do so. Musically, the track has a moody and atmospheric sound that perfectly captures the song's message. The combination of the powerful lyrics and haunting melody make "Stuck" an emotional track that I think will resonate with listeners who have experienced similar feelings of being stuck in their own lives.
GH: As a singer-songwriter from northern Norway, how have your environment and upbringing influenced your music and lyrical style?
Elin: Growing up in northern Norway has had a significant impact on my music and lyrics. The stark and beautiful natural surroundings have provided me with inspiration, and the region's climate and isolation have shaped my introspective and emotive lyrical style. Additionally, personal experiences and hardships have given me a unique perspective on life that I try to convey through my music.
GH: Apart from "Stuck," do you have any other future releases or projects in the works that you'd like to share with your fans?
Elin: Yes, I have two more singles scheduled for release in 2023, and I'm currently working on new material that I'm excited to share with my fans. My style blends pop and electronic elements, and my lyrics explore themes of self-reflection, personal growth, and overcoming adversity. I can't wait for my listeners to hear what's in store!
