Today we have the pleasure to have Wild Firw on Goathead

GHR: What inspired you to start writing music?

Wild Firw: Growing up we didn’t have much, especially music video channels. Being born in Siberia, I listened to music cassettes and was fascinated by vocalists’ and rappers’ sounds and messages in their music. I also loved when my dad and brother would play piano and guitar. When I was about 8 years old, my brother brought home a video tape of music videos and played Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. I was so amazed by this song and fell in even more love with music ever since. I began writing poems at 16 and gradually converted them into songs.

GHR: Can you tell us more about your experience performing live at gigs and what was the most memorable experience you had?

Wild Firw: I haven’t performed anywhere yet but definitely planning on it. I have just recently posted my songs on Spotify and am trying to build an audience before I go on stage 🙂

GHR: How is your process of songwriting set around?

Wild Firw: My process of writing songs is simple. I either purchase a beat and then write to it or vice versa. Lately I’ve been writing lyrics and then searching for a beat. I love the process of creating songs and wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s my therapy.

GHR: What motivates you to create music and bring awareness to different situations through your songs?

Wild Firw: My motivation for creating music is my experiences. I’ve been through a lot of hard obstacles in life and want to relate my experiences to others in hopes it will help them in some way. Most of my songs are stories about myself and what I’ve been through. My dream has always been to help people who went through similar situations. Another motivation for me is finding a catchy beat and then writing lyrics or applying already written lyrics to make the song stand out. I put a lot of thought into this process and will not go to a studio until I rehearse a song to the best of my ability.

GHR: Could you share some insights into your next projects?

Wild Firw: Yes, absolutely I can! My current project is very close to my heart and tells my story about my experience growing up until this day. This song’s genre is hip hop and rap, which will be a first for me—well, kinda 😉. I’ve always been attracted to storytelling songs, and I can finally make my dream into reality by writing my own story, being an open book to all kinds of audiences.
