GH: What inspired you to start writing music?
Jehnniel: My deep love for music is at the heart of it all. Growing up in a home where music was woven into everyday life truly shaped my passion.
GH: Can you tell us more about your experience performing live and your most memorable moment?
Jehnniel: One of my most unforgettable experiences was performing at a Filipino music event where I had the chance to meet my favorite artist, Bamboo.
GH: How do you approach songwriting?
Jehnniel: I usually begin by tapping into my emotions and current feelings. From there, I create chord structures and start mumbling sounds. The lyrics flow intuitively, reflecting my feelings while ensuring the sounds and words sync harmoniously.
GH: What drives you to create music and raise awareness through your songs?
Jehnniel: There are countless people feeling lost and broken in today’s world, which often seems consumed by materialism and superficiality. I aim to remind others that they are more than they think, encouraging a connection to nature and embracing one’s authentic self. I believe tapping into emotions and creativity is vital for self-healing.
GH: Can you share any details about your upcoming projects?
Jehnniel: I recently released an older version of my song “SEA WOLVES,” originally created in 2016. I’m excited to announce my new single “BLUE SKIES,” set for release on October 5th, which I wrote and produced with Roberto Panovski. I’m also planning to read constantly and hope to release an EP or album next year.
