Today we have Andy at GoatHead for a few questions!

GH: Hi Andy, Thank You for being here! What inspired you to pursue a career in music, and how did you get started in the industry?

Andy Mancheno: Hey there! Thanks for having me! The influence of my family was one of the main reasons why I decided to venture into a musical career. I started in the music industry in 2019 with the release of my first single "Mundos Inversos", thus opening a project with great influence in rock, indie, and pop rock. Over time, I have been exploring new genres and sounds until today, when I find myself linked to a more urban genre.

GH: Could you walk us through your creative process when it comes to writing and producing music?

Andy Mancheno: I am a person who takes the creation process very seriously. I feel that it is very important to connect with my experiences. I usually write almost every day, and when I am composing a song, I use all those ideas that I am putting together throughout the week until the end. A result that makes me feel satisfied. I am a perfectionist, and I cannot stop until I feel that the song has the direction that I try to convey.

GH: "Adictiva" was a success, What was the inspiration behind "Adictiva," and could you describe the process of creating the song from writing the lyrics to recording the final product?

Andy Mancheno: It is a song that is loaded with a lot of sensuality; I refer to how addictive a person can be in your life. In this case, the story talks about a girl who has no interest in falling in love again and now she just wants to hang out, but that its rebellious and free form makes it very provocative. I composed it with the help of Kenny Beach, a Colombian music producer with great recognition, and the mastering was done by Josh Diace, a Puerto Rican producer with an incredible career in urban music, thus giving life to this masterpiece.

GH: How has your Latino heritage influenced your music, and how do you incorporate those cultural elements into your work?

Andy Mancheno: I feel proud to be Latino; I consider that "flow" runs through my blood; I feel that I am a great consumer of Latin music, so I really like to explore and discover new sounds each time. This has made my lyrics and my way of expressing myself always closely linked to very Latin ways of expressing themselves.

GH: What have been some of the biggest challenges you've faced in your music career, and how have you overcome them?

Andy Mancheno: The lack of support and opportunities in my native country was one of the things that has hit me the most in my career. I feel that the more I got to know the music industry, the more the way music was handled frustrated me. However, look for ways to carry out this project by making associations, making contacts, and putting in a lot of effort. This is how I have been making what started as a dream little by little into a reality.

GH: What can fans expect from your upcoming music releases, and do you have any exciting projects or collaborations in the works that you can share with us?

Andy Mancheno: This year I promised a lot of music, and that goes for all my fans and the people who support me. I have songs to cry, dance, and party to; that is, we come loaded with many emotions. The only thing I can say is that I am totally grateful to all the people who support and be prepared for everything that comes. On the 23d of April my new single "Modo Diablo" will be released and I am thrilled for my fans to be able to listen to it!

GH: We can't wait either! Andy, We wish you the best for your new single release and we hope to see you here once again!

Andy Mancheno: Thank You Goathead, It was a pleasure!
