Today We Have To Pleasure To Have Paige on Goathead !

GH: Hey Paige, Great to have you here! What inspired you to start writing music?

Paige Corwin: I began writing music as a therapeutic outlet, using it as a means to express and process my emotions. Music became a powerful medium for me to convey feelings and experiences that were sometimes difficult to articulate verbally.

GH: Can you tell us more about your experience performing live at gigs and what was the most memorable experience you had?

Paige Corwin: Oh, I love performing live! I usually perform with a full band and backing tracks. One of the most unforgettable moments was during a sold-out show at the Bowery Electric. The energy in the room was electric (pun intended), and I found myself completely immersed in the moment, not wanting to leave the stage. I was expecting a big turnout, but not sold out! Right before I hit the stage, the booking agent was like, "Paige, the show just sold out!" My first sold-out show. Talk about a pre-show adrenaline rush!

GH: How is your process of songwriting set around?

Paige Corwin: Typically, my songwriting process starts with collaborating with a producer to create a beat. We work together to craft a musical backdrop that resonates with the emotions I want to convey. From there, I delve into personal experiences that align with the mood of the music, allowing the lyrics to naturally evolve from a genuine place.

GH: What motivates you to create music and bring awareness to different situations through your songs?

Paige Corwin: My motivation to create music stems from a desire to connect with listeners on a deep and personal level. I strive to be vulnerable in my songs, addressing themes such as love, heartbreak, and family issues—topics that many people can relate to. By sharing my own experiences, I hope to create a sense of solidarity among listeners, letting them know they are not alone in their struggles.

GH: Could you share some insights into your next projects?

Paige Corwin: I've got some exciting projects in the pipeline! Recently, I took a creative journey to LA where I collaborated with a bunch of talented producers and songwriters. Currently in the works to get those tracks out into the world! And on top of that, I was given a great opportunity to collaborate with an artist from Bermuda. We're cooking up something special—three songs that could be part of an incredibly exciting project. Stay tuned!
